Segars Engineering is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Roanoke, Virginia office. This position will assist the project manager throughout the duration of projects. The preferred candidate should have 3 - 5 years of experience working in the engineering design and construction industry. Experience performing design, construction or outage work at industrial or manufacturing facilities is preferred.

Duties:

• Collect field measurements

• Review drawings of existing structures in the project area

• Collect information from client regarding scope and timeline of project

• Assist the design team to meet deadlines

• Create bid packages and assist in bidding process

• Updating project schedules and status

• Assist with construction management

• Miscellaneous office tasks

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:

• Experience developing, reading, and interpreting engineering and construction drawings

• Ability to multitask while working on several projects simultaneously

• Comfortable working in a heavy industrial field setting

• Experience reviewing shop drawings for accuracy and approval

• Ability to collect detailed field measurements and other pertinent information

• Organized and detail driven

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Comfortable interacting with clients and contractors daily

• 3 - 5 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry

Job Requirements:

• Experience working in the building construction and/or engineering design world

• Physical ability to climb stairs, ladders and navigate equipment platforms

• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
