Job Description
Position Summary
Are you the technical expert brought in for site specific projects? If so, this may be the role for you! As the Engineering Project Manager, you will develop, coordinate, and manage business unit capital projects to deliver against key objectives of growth, revenue, product quality, and operational efficiencies. While providing strong collaboration with internal and external cross functional resources to ensure alignment with key stakeholders, you are also responsible to develop, align, and implement engineering standards across the business unit to improve effectiveness of project planning, execution, and completion.
Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of highly complex engineering projects to meet capital plan commitments, manage priorities, and maintain key stakeholders aligned and communicated
  • Ensure all project documentation including project plans, status reports, issues, risks, costs, schedules, and quality components are well documented and communicated throughout the lifecycle of projects
  • Collaborate with cross functional team and business stakeholders to manage project scope decisions, critical financial decisions, and change controls, escalate when necessary
  • Support the development of master plans, capital plans, and budgets in partnership with the Director of Engineering and key business unit stakeholders
  • Contribute to creation of specifications; develop, implement, and perform risk assessments of manufacturing equipment and process standards that drive continuous improvement
  • Manage planning, justification, and execution of Capital Projects.
  • Manage drafting, documentation, and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules for Capital Projects.
  • Manage day to day vendor relations, performance, and project expectations
  • Manage contract development and execution for all responsible projects with support from Engineering Support Services Manager.
  • Support M&A business assessments and project activities, as needed
  • Collaborate with engineering and cross functional colleagues on best practice application developing a culture of high performance
  • Lead change management efforts to continuously improve existing project management processes and better integrate engineering into business unit decision making
  • Lead and mentor junior project engineers
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • 5+ years of experience managing engineering, maintenance and/or operations related projects (i.e. yields, quality, OEE, automation, facilities, compliance, etc.) in a manufacturing environment
  • Travel: 50%, visiting wineries, distilleries, and vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to project manage multi-million dollars, complex and multi-phase projects
  • Strong analytical skills, planning skills, and ability to prioritize work effectively
  • Proficient in at least 1 of these 4 areas of engineering: Process Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Controls/Automation, or Building Construction
  • Excellent communications and influencing skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Fortune 500 CPG, food and/or beverage industry experience
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience developing process optimization standards and procedures for an entire enterprise/business unit
  • Master’s degree
  • PMP certification
  • Lean certification

The salary range for this role is:
$90,100.00 - $163,400.00
