Job Summary:
The life of a Project Engineer may include collecting data from equipment or devices located in the field. In this role, you might find yourself completing design reviews for critical system components when not on the project site. You will also manage and monitor all critical hardware and software specifications for any assigned projects as they are successfully implemented at each of the attractions. You will be encouraged to become the authority for your projects.
You will work for the Manager of the Worldwide Critical Safety Process department.
Responsibilities/You Will
- Have an obligation to maintain each project's technical scope
- Be held accountable to meet technical requirements and achievements
- Maintain the budget & schedule depending project scope
- Provide technical oversite as needed for projects or ad-hoc requests
- Prepare documentation of a technical nature including specifications, requirements, drawings, scope of work, installation plans, maintenance requirements, etc. as required for the successful execution of projects
- Verify procurement and installation work is conforming to the project requirements
- Handle technical interfaces between the project scopes
- Establish and maintain excellent relations ships with the Project Team, Operations, Engineering Services, Safety, vendors, contractors, and other key partners or collaborators
Basic Qualifications/You will have
- Minimum of 2 or more years’ experience in Engineering, showing growing levels of responsibility
- Experience with design, installation, and commissioning of complex equipment systems that meet regulatory and industrial standards
- Experience with investigations, root cause analysis, and hazard analysis
- Confirmed knowledge of AutoCAD and or SolidWorks
- Proficiency in using Micro Soft Office suite including Excel, Word, and Power-Point
- Experience with developing and coordinating project schedules by applying the critical path method
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex data relationships in concise and straightforward presentations
- Ability to work after-hours and off-shift hours as required
- Engineer in Training (EIT)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with the amusement park industry
- Previous design experience with audio/visual systems including digital camera and video networking technologies
- Professional Engineer’s License
Required Education
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering focusing on equipment design (i.e. Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or Computer Engineering)

The hiring range for this position in California is $77,080.00 to $103,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
