As a Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for executing key initiatives for the Refrigeration business, with a primary focus on reciprocating semi-hermetic products and a secondary focus on scroll products. Primary activities will include supplier support programs, cost reduction programs, and plant support as needed.

This role is an exciting opportunity to support the HVACR Technologies Americas business.

As a Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer, You Will:

• Collaborate with internal/ external technical teams to provide support for new and existing suppliers.
• Utilize DFMEA methods to identify risk and guide product qualification.
• Develop and execute qualification plans with focus on risk mitigation.
• Build and maintain project schedules to ensure timely delivery for key stakeholders.
• Support customer needs by identifying innovative solutions for new business opportunities.
• Apply problem-solving skills to quickly and effectively drive solutions for design and manufacturing teams.

Flexible Work Schedule - Remote Work Options and Core Hours:

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option one day a week with up to three days on an exception basis. It also has a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Meetings may fall out of this time band but can be attended remotely. This role works with a lab and with plants, it may be needed at times to be on campus when interaction with these groups is needed.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent engineering degree o r equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong analytics and problem-solving skills

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

• Five (5) years of engineering experience
• Experience leading cross-functional teams
• Understanding of refrigeration, thermodynamics, and HVAC systems
• Experience with compression design & function (scroll and/or reciprocating)
• Knowledge and experience with a problem-solving methodology

Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our air conditioning-related products help bring comfort and convenience to commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
