We are seeking a Project Estimator/Engineer with experience in SAGE CRE database management to join our project team. You will assist with project takeoffs, estimating and other tasks aimed at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. This position is partnered with a Project Manager and reports to the Vice President.

LOCATION:
Our main office is in Bozeman, Montana. We have projects throughout the state from Whitefish to Big Timber. Some travel is required for site visits and client meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Review historical data relative to the project, incorporating various labor, materials, subcontractor bids and costs appropriate in preparation of a bid
• Completing a plan and specification review for an assigned project, assessing the risk areas and bringing them to the attention of the Project Manager
• Provide timely and accurate take off details including costs related to materials, subcontractors, travel, and any scope documentation
• Assist with quantity takeoffs for estimating and change order management
• Assist with invoice coding, job cost review and other tasks related to client billing and PayApps
• Assist in creating and updating project schedules
• Assist with subcontractor coordination and creating three week look ahead schedules
• Assist with project documents, RFI’s and submittal management
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with Project Manager and other project participants to provide assistance and support
• Other daily supportive tasks as needed

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

• BS degree in Construction Management, CET or equivalent OR three years of construction project engineering/estimating experience required
• Relevant construction estimating/ take-off experience
• Understanding of developing of bid packages and qualifications
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, contracts and scopes of work
• Understanding of building methods and foundation construction
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Knowledge of Bluebeam, Sage 100 and ProCore is preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to internal and external partners, in person, over email and on the phone
• Decision making ability and leadership skills
• Time management and organization skills

WAGES AND BENEFITS:

• This is a salaried position which starts at $65,000/year, but is dependent on experience
