About the Role:

The Project Management Specialist, Product Development will work with Project Manager to coordinate activities across Product Development, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Education, IT, R&D and Finance to ensure excellence in on time and execution for Non-NPD projects (Sampling, Gift with Purchase, Reformulations, and Retailer Exclusives) globally and NPD (New Product Development). As an integral member of the team, the Project Manager must be: diligent and assertive to drive the process; flexible and adaptive to proactively manage deviations, and engaged to identify and manage project risks.

  • Clearly document and monitor all timeline milestones across teams, set due dates/make revisions as needed, and follow up to ensure tasks are met or contingencies developed
  • Lead and facilitate regular cross-functional team meetings, coordinating activities across Product Development, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Education, IT, and Finance team members to create and execute necessary timelines and activities
  • Proactively identify risks, counter-act and press for decisions, in order to execute on-time and within quality expectations
  • Prioritize tasks, adjust workflow and partner cross-functionally with the team as needed to move projects forward
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, creating and refining best practices and processes for successful project execution
  • Serve as point of contact in between formal project meetings to drive communication and action where needed to support project execution
  • Communicate project status updates, actions and risks to the current head of research and development
  • Provide administrative support to key business partners ensuring milestones are achieved on-time and on-budget

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in either R&D or Supply Chain
  • 2+ years of experience in process/project management across global teams, and/or concentration of R&D or Supply Chain
  • Skilled problem-solver who drives out-of-the-box thinking when appropriate
  • Adept at operating autonomously amidst ambiguity
  • Ability to lead and influence without being the direct manager of all team members
  • Excellent organizational, management, and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong preference for this individual to be based near our Pearl River Lab Location as there may be a need to work out of the lab bi-monthly

  • Responsible for creating briefs for all kits and samples
  • Responsible for getting estimated and final forecasts for non-NPD products
  • Will work with the creative team on reviews and approvals, managing all meeting invitations and tracking changes
  • Lead a cross functional meeting to review kit timelines as is done for NPD launches
  • Assist in projects with new NPD launches (shipments, creating labels for large scale testing, etc)
  • Manage timelines for all reformulations, with Product Development Director leading Contract Manufacturer decisions
  • Work with Marketing & Education on reformulation education and website change needs once reformulation hits the warehouse
  • Work closely with operations on the GTM for new formulations to notify Marketing once newly changed formulas or packages hit shelves
  • Assess the current workflow for package sourcing for non-NPD projects with the Packaging Team
  • Assist in some NPD related support if available (shipping, testing follow ups, etc)
