We are looking for a Project Manager based in Omaha, Nebraska, with at least 5 years of experience and a recent history of successfully managing the completion of new commercial construction and rebuilding acquired projects before or on schedule.
Our ideal Project Manager acts as the primary interface with internal and external teams, community leaders, and city planners to manage the construction process from inception to completion. A Project Manager’s key role is to facilitate an effective and timely launch of new sites. The individual in this position must have a professional understanding and application of the principles of project management, reporting of status, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Overarching Position Duties:
- Work with internal and external teams to develop project requirements & schedules
- Oversee assigned projects and ensure they are completed in accordance with goals – from project inception to final completion
- Develop and maintain a project tracking list of all equipment and signage for new sites
- Maintain a weekly status report to outline timing, open issues, and action steps needed for each project
- Must effectively filter and communicate relevant information with the project team
- Be an effective team player and multi-tasker, taking the initiative to always further the company core values
- Regular reporting to communicate the status, open issues, and action steps required to achieve on-time launches and implementation of projects within the established budget
- Notify of any known or anticipated project issues or delays
- Manage and provide feedback to contractors, suppliers, and consultants as necessary
- Attend design & construction meetings as necessary
- Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during construction or commissioning
- Travel to site locations and suppliers as necessary to follow-up on progress, installation, and final buy-off as required to support projects
- Work with contractors to ensure high safety standards
- Communicate with City Officials and other jurisdictional entities as assigned
- Follow established purchase requisition, approval, and ordering process for all assigned car wash site equipment, purchased goods, and services
- Provide project reporting and documentation of purchases to the Accounting Dept
- Manage and monitor project budgets for overall spend, and ensure quick receipt and approval of vendor invoices
- Engage in cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives in all facets of assigned projects
- Conduct project audits, communicate results, initiate corrective actions, and follow-up verification as determined by the Rocket Carwash operations process
- Punchlist walk with construction operation team to ensure fulfilled contract obligations
- Ensure handoff of projects to respective operations teams
- Support the car wash sites and operations team as needed
- Perform all other duties requested by your direct report
Requirements
- Associates degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management preferred
- Proven track record managing quality control, and health-and-safety standards
- Must be able to perform college level math and analysis
- Have an organized approach to work with excellent communication skills
- Must have proven time management skills to oversee several projects at once
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and varying software dedicated to construction
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to safely operate a vehicle. Employee may be expected to be at assigned job sites, traveling to other states when needed, and will be provided and expected to wear PPE as assigned.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; perform duties that require manual dexterity; must be able to handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, climb, balance, kneel, and crawl. The employee is required to sit and regularly perform work using a computer. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The ability to see near and far is required.
