Project Manager - Entrepreneurship Job at Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle

Under the guidance and direction of the Director of Fund Development, this role will develop and administer programs specifically geared towards small businesses. The Entrepreneurship Project Manager will identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as coordinate the development of workshops for small businesses. This position provides financial consultation, budgeting and tax strategies to small businesses and aids them in navigating and applying for resources and funding. This role will also organize and coordinate events with and specifically for black and minority owned small businesses.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • 2+ years fund development experience
  • 2+ years event planning and organizing experience
  • High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in related or relevant field preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Direct experience in effective relationship building with volunteers, senior level community leaders, donors, and staff
  • Direct experience working with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.)
  • Experience in fundraising, marketing, grant writing and program development
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects including setting and changing priorities while ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Strong and engaging verbal and written communication skills

ULMS Total Compensation
