Position Summary

The role of the Project Manager is to support client initiatives in creating prototype and production parts by aligning project requirements with company profitability. This position will have proficient knowledge of prototyping processes in order to understand client expectations and coordinate work within several departments. The ability to develop strong relationships, communicate effectively, and keep work organized will be crucial for success. This position will operate in a fast paced, demanding, yet rewarding environment.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Serve as clients’ main point of contact for prototyping and production needs; recommend best combination of materials and processes based on project, budget, and timeframe requirements
• Prepare quotes by studying 2D prints, CAD files, and other documentation
• Monitor manufacturing progress, identify the need for issue escalation, recommend alternative solutions
• Develop, maintain, and accelerate strong business relationships with key decision makers and influencers within assigned accounts
• Arrange client visits on or off site as needed to present company services and capabilities and secure business opportunities
• Attend trade shows and industry events as needed to develop qualified leads and maintain relationships

Education and Professional Experience:

• Degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, Design, or related field required
• 1 - 4 years’ experience in traditional and additive manufacturing required
• 1+ years’ experience in project management within the manufacturing industry preferred
• 1+ years’ experience in sales and service preferred

The ideal candidate will offer:

• Proficient knowledge of prototyping and manufacturing
• Proficient knowledge of industry materials, applications and technologies
• Basic knowledge in project management discipline and continuous improvement methodologies and tools
• Proficient relationship management skills, negotiation and presentation skills, and general business practices
• Proficient computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and CAD related software
