The Project Planning and Scheduling SME independently engages project stake holders in preparing project schedules and project progress reports. The Project Planning and Scheduling SME analyzes the project progress based on achieved versus planned milestones. He or she updates the project schedules critical path based on actual progress and communicates with Project Mangers as it relates to the project schedule.

Project Planning and Scheduling SME ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides Project schedule monitoring and analysis.
- Develop and tracks overall project schedule and works with project EPC contractor and sub-contractors to monitor and analyze their individual schedules, feeding this information into the overall project schedule.
- Coordinates and oversees project schedule updating and reporting and provides general planning and scheduling support.
- Project Planning and Scheduling SME maintains schedule updating on all projects.
- Maintains project schedules and follows up with project managers, department managers, and discipline lead engineers.
- Project Planning and Scheduling SME supports project managers as needed.
- Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
PROJECT PLANNER AND SCHEDULING SME REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A degree in construction management, construction engineering technologies, or a business field is preferred. Advanced degree in engineering or business (MBA) a plus.
- Project Planning and Scheduling SME should possess 10+ years of related experience.
- Primavera P6 of Microsoft Project scheduling software experience is required.
- Prior lead planner/scheduler, or project engineering experience working for an engineering consulting company or construction company is preferred.
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Proficient in use of MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word.
- Ability to react promptly and efficiently to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and presentation skills.
- Capability to conduct research into schedule-related issues and products.
- Provides consultation and expert advice to management.
- Ability to periodically travel overseas.
