Property Management Assistant Job at United Nations
This position is located in the Enabling and Outreach Service (EOS), Office of Supply Chain Management (OSCM), Department of Operational Support (DOS) at the United Nations (UN) Headquarters in New York.
The Department of Operational Support was established to provide operational advisory services to operating entities across the Secretariat, including other departments, offices-away-from headquarters, field missions, and regional commissions.
The Office of Supply Chain Management includes the Office of the Assistant Secretary-General for Supply Chain Management, Logistics Division, the Procurement Division, the Uniformed Capabilities Support Division, Aviation Safety Section, Global Service Center, and the Enabling and Outreach Service. The latter supports supply chain operations through the provision of operational reporting, business intelligence, supplier diversity and performance management.
The incumbent reports to the Chief of Unit
A. Supply chain performance reports:
- Assist in the preparation and dissemination of OSCM quarterly supply chain management performance reports and other business performance materials;
- Review draft reports, annexes and faxes for accuracy and completeness;
- Assist with root cause analysis of issues/problems related to supply change performance management;
- Participate in outreach activities with clients; prepare analysis and presentation materials for meetings.
B. Performs supply chain data analysis and assists in the development of visualizations/dashboards:
- Assist with the development of visualization tools in the corporate business analytics workspace, compile data, and build dashboards for management reporting and analysis;
- Assist with the analysis of end-to-end supply chain management data, develop and run business intelligence reports through the Business Objects and other business intelligence tools;
- Assist in developing and implementing business intelligence reports for supply chain transactional data quality assurance;
- Identifies and analyzes sources of data;
- Utilize Umoja ECC, Umoja Business Intelligence and other SAP reporting tools to execute the analysis.
C. Assists in the identification and development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and requirements for supply chain performance reporting:
- Analyze Category Management strategies / Supply Chain reporting requirements in order to assist in the development of Key Performance Indicators;
- Develop business requirements for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) based management reporting and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for the new business intelligence tools;
- Draft revisions to the Supply Chain Performance Management Framework.
D. General Support and Administration
- Draft a variety of correspondence to entities regarding supply chain management, prepare draft guidance material for supply chain performance management-related procedures;
- Maintain Sharepoint document library;
- Perform other duties as required.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Work Experience- Experience working in support of a field operation (inclusive of peacekeeping operations, special political missions, agencies, funds and programmes), or other similar international organizations is desirable.
- Experience with integrated end-to-end business processes, analytics, reporting, and data models, is desirable
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable.
