Responsibilities:
As an integral member of the Loan Operations Department, this position is mainly responsible for coordinating all activities related to escrow
- Examine escrow accounts and balances to adhere to federal regulations
- Review new mortgage loans for escrow; add/delete escrow accounts as requested by customers
- Prepare remittance for hazard insurance premiums on a monthly basis
- Prepare remittance for PMI/MIP premiums as due; review the PMI and terminate as required
- Prepare remittance for life and disability premiums for all loan types
- Create Loan to Value Report; terminate PMI as required
- Prepare remittance for property taxes as due
- Function as a resource for branch personnel with escrow questions; communicate with customers, insurance companies and real property tax collectors regarding escrow
- Cooperate with other members of the department to achieve departmental goals
- Perform other related duties as assigned or directed
- Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls and meet all job-specific requirements in a timely fashion
- Provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Loan Operations Department and the Bank in achieving their annual goals
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates Degree in business related field or equivalent in relative work experience preferred
- Preference will be given to a candidate with two (2) years of banking experience with an emphasis on Loan Operations or two (2) to three (3) years of business office experience
- Strong attention to detail as well as proven organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively under time constraints
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Must have strong PC skills including ability to create, use and manipulate data in Excel
Hours: 40 hours/week; Monday through Friday 8:15-5:00; overtime as required
