Tactical Air Support, Inc., a national company operating in 14 states across the country, provides domestic and international "Center of Excellence" training and advisory services in tactical aviation, as well as the production, modification, and sustainment/maintenance of high-performance aircraft, is seeking an experienced Proposal Development Manager to join our team.

The position is a telework role with travel to Lexington Park, Maryland, Jacksonville, Florida, Reno, Nevada, and other Tactical Air Support worksites as required and may require some foreign travel.

The ideal candidate for the Proposal Development Manager position will provide leadership and direction for the Proposal Team in support of Tactical Air's strategic business plan. This position will lead and strengthen proposal development processes and supervise and develop proposal and marketing efforts. The Proposal Manager will be responsible for managing the Business Capture Center and all resources essential to the proposal process and the execution and delivery of all proposals.

The key desirable and preferred requirements for this position include:

  • Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. Please see job description for minimum requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in a relevant field or industry.
  • Five years' experience in responding to US Government RFPs and proposal development with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility and a proven track record.
  • Familiarity or experience with aviation industry and federal/government contracts.
  • Experience in the areas of military operations, US Air Force, Navy or Marine Corps combat aviation experience.
  • Knowledgeable in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills and ability to interface with senior management, functional departments & customers
  • Strong PC-based computer skills; proficiency utilizing various software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); web-based e-mail/calendar applications; virtual office/cloud-based file management/sharing.
  • The ability to work in a team environment and display professionalism is essential.
  • Must be a self-motivated, high energy, organized individual with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize to meet critical deadlines.

  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance
