Provider Communications Operations Advisor - Medicare data and distribution Job at The Cigna Group

This position is responsible for managing the communications operations strategy and execution of various data and distribution activities that deliver improved accuracy and efficiency of existing data and distribution processes, increased breadth and depth of messaging distribution through enhanced coding, tools, and new technologies, expanded automation so that existing resources can be leveraged to support growth, and ongoing execution of activities that support data and distribution requests.
Responsibilities
Own and manage the entire end-to-end process for provider mail, email, and fax lists - including data extraction, review, management, and maintenance.
Support the ongoing strategic delivery and maintenance of the provider-facing employee intranet site (The Hive).
Support the strategic and tactical delivery of Provider Communications / Operations team broader activities (e.g., SharePoint updates, contact lists).
Extract, manipulate, and manage data from multiple sources to develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date provider mail and email lists for communication with network providers, both participating and non-participating.
Ensure all materials go through a review process for approval of message, compliance with contractual, regulatory and Cigna Legal guidelines, and Cigna text and brand standards.
Own strategic direction and relationship with mail list vendors to ensure processes are efficient and that messages are delivered.
Manage data integrity and quality, including efforts to reduce returned mail.
Maintain tracking and inventory of all data used for communications projects.
Outline risks, dependencies, mitigation options, resources, tactics, timelines, and costs for standard, repeatable, baseline data and distribution activities.
Own the strategy and delivery of current and accurate internal and external contact lists.
Own distribution tactical projects, working with teammates and matrix partners to ensure timely and successful distribution.
Own the coding of various digital communications.
Provide reporting and analytics relative to process improvement as requested by management.
Manage processes and metrics relevant to posting and distributing final communications.
Support employee engagement efforts specific to distribution of messages.
Respond to requests for provider mailing historical data and details.
Partner with multiple stakeholders to drive successful internal and external communications delivery.
Support communication optimization activities, including distribution channels and messaging packaging.
Support communication effectiveness activities, including surveys.
Manage multiple projects and requests simultaneously and work effectively with tight schedules.
Perform other duties as assigned or identified.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in communications or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in health care communications or a related field.
Ability to analyze data, management and manipulate large datasets to create accurate and actionable information, and report on key metrics.
Knowledge of Cigna systems and related data retrieval mechanisms.
Strong verbal, written, html coding, and communication skills required.
Preferred Requirements
HTML coding experience.
Significant experience in data retrieval, manipulation, analysis, and reporting (SQL, Excel, Access, web delivery).
Proficiency using MS Access and Excel, and other database/reporting tools (COGNOS, BRIO, Crystal, etc).
Ability to learn quickly.
Strong process development and management skills.
Strong problem solving, customer service/support skills.
Strong attention to detail with high level of focus on quality and customer service, due to a high level of sensitivity with provider data and data integrity.
Excellent organizational skills including proven ability to utilize resources, prioritize, manage and meet multiple deadlines in a highly matrixed environment.
Strong ability to work with detailed data.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 80,000 - 133,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
