POSITION OVERVIEW:
Ritter Center is hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practioner for our Behavioral Health Team.
Ritter Center is a Federally Qualified Health Care for the Homeless Center. The Behavioral Health Mobile Outreach Therapist (BHT) performs mental health screening, mental health and AOD assessment, crisis intervention, diagnosis, brief interventions, and other therapeutic modalities for clients being served through Ritter Center’s Health and Wellness Mobile Outreach Team. This team operates in the field on our mobile van throughout Marin County supporting the behavioral health needs of clients experiencing homelessness. This clinical role has knowledge and experience providing mental health services to disadvantaged populations, and is familiar with evidence-based practices for treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse disorders and other mental disorders. This therapist also creates and conducts specialty focused groups (e.g., mindfulness training for pain) for our clients. This role must possess a State of California Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) credential.

This is an EXEMPT position that reports to the Behavioral Health Services Manager

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat adults experiencing symptoms of behavioral health
disorders
- Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental,
emotional, or behavioral disorders
- Responsible for providing psychiatric services to clients in a variety of clinical settings
during scheduled hours. Scope of services includes outpatient psychiatric evaluations
and medication management services
- Collaborate with counselors, social workers, or other treatment team members to
coordinate client care
- Responsible for timely and accurate completion of medical records, including
assessment, progress notes, outcome measures, and billing entries

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with focus on Psychiatric nursing
- Graduation from a state-certified advance practice program specializing in
- psychiatry/mental health
- Licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse in the state of CA.
- Must have a valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in CA.
- At least 1-2 years providing direct client care to persons receiving treatment for
- psychiatric disorders

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Per OSHA requirements, employment at Ritter Center requires compliance with being able to produce a negative TB test prior to the start of employment, as well as being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (unless applying for an exemption) per the August 5th State Public Order for Healthcare Facilities, providers and employees.
