The Health District has an immediate need for a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide services in our Child, Adolescent, and Young Adult Connections (CAYAC) clinic for 8 hours per week. CAYAC is a service of the Health District of Northern Larimer County under the Mental Health and Substance Use Connections Program that helps young people (up to age 24) and their families with the early identification, assessment/testing, and treatment of mental health and substance use concerns.

As a Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will provide brief psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and young adults for up to 8 hours per week including direct patient care, documentation of patient care, and meetings as requested/required. Services include initial psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and follow-up care. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will consult and work collaboratively with the CAYAC multi-disciplinary team to help ensure that clients and families receive exceptional attention to their mental health and substance use needs in a timely manner, and help to reduce barriers to ongoing behavioral health care services. Services are primarily provided on-site at the Health District’s CAYAC office, though there is the availability to provide services via telehealth as needed/appropriate and in compliance with state regulations.

Pay Range and Status

· $75 to $85 per hour DOE

· 8 hrs/wk

Qualifications

· The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner must have: five years of experience providing exceptional child and adolescent psychiatric services as a part of a multi-disciplinary team in an outpatient or inpatient setting

· A license to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of Colorado

· An active DEA license

· Professional liability insurance

· Ability to provide onsite services one day per week as well as follow-up as needed

· Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus
