Job Title: PT Aide
Position Summary: Responsible for assisting in the provision of Physical and Occupational Therapy services including but not limited to; escorting patients back to the therapy section; attending to the amenities of the clinical area and assisting therapy staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent (required)
- CPR certification (preferred)
- Valid PA Drivers License (required)
- Display knowledge of the use of various Exercise equipment, PC, copier, fax, and telephone (required)
Essential Duties:
- Identify area to which patient belongs, (occupational, physical therapy, etc.) and escort patient.
- Assist in set up and take down of equipment
- Basic exercise monitoring under supervision of therapist
- Maintain linen supply, including removing all bedding, towels, laundry linens and replenish supply back to clinical areas.
- Organize equipment and supplies need for treatment including unpack incoming supplies, making sure that the order matches the delivery. Report any malfunctioning equipment to the Department Manager.
- Assist in the needs of any of the clinical staff as requested.
- Strives to maintain open, effective, and professional communication/positive working relationship with the Clinic Manager and all staff.
- Maintains the highest level of patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude towards the profession and the organization. Strives for strong customer service continuously. Must have a strong professional demeanor, possess effective interpersonal skills and demonstrates a positive attitude that promotes cooperation to administration, physicians, staff members, patients and other professionals such as work rehab nurses and vendors.
