Essential Functions: To provide the best possible protection of residents, guest, visitors, employees and company assets via established procedures and practices by performing stationary post duties and mobile patrol to include special assignments, responding to calls for service, escorting persons, investigations, and writing reports.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain and offer proper briefing at post shift change as well as the documented exchange
• Be familiar with company and departmental policies, procedures and local, state and federal laws
• Respond to all accidents, including medical, fire, and criminal incidents.
• Diligently patrol all assigned areas.
• Conduct inspections (consent of search) of employees, contractors, vendors, vehicles, and carry on property
• Be familiar with general safety and security policies and procedures.
• Maintain familiarity of key locations such as, residencies, club facilities, department, and key personnel, locations of telephones, alarms and fire exits.
• Observe and accurate document all activities performed during the shift including but not limited to: accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions, damaged or broken equipment, escorts and transports.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to all encountered.
• Prevent the access of unauthorized persons onto Fisher Island.
• Safely use and maintain any equipment routinely used in the performance of duties.
• Report to your supervisor any conditions you may have which would hinder the effective operation of a post or assignment. (i.e. fatigue, illness, injury, etc.)

Education/Other Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Two years experience preferred in Security or similar field
• Excellent communication and judgment skills
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Have knowledge of all applicable State and Federal laws.
• Able to work any shift, including flexible schedules, nights, weekends & holidays.
