Puget Sound Regional Director- Seattle Job at Children's Home Society of Washington
POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs the operations of one or more CHSW service sites. Ensures CHSW regional visibility through active participation in appropriate provider organizations and funding bodies. Partners with Foundation Office in fund development and external relations. Ensures effective and efficient utilization of staff personnel, fiscal resources, facilities, and monitors program(s) performance. Has access to protected healthcare information (PHI) or confidential identifiable information (CII), both paper and electronic, as necessary, to perform related job duties and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Management
- Promotes service activities and CHSW visibility through regional activities
- Works with the Finance and Accounting team to develop and monitor the regional budget
- Organizes and ensures appropriate operations of one or more service sites
- Monitors all funding and other contracts for compliance, concerns and opportunities and informs the appropriate CHSW management of any pertinent information
- Works with the Strategic Planning Office to coordinate and implement planning and evaluation, and research projects
- Ensures that all records and statistics for one or more service sites are appropriately maintained
- Be the face of the CHSW in the community with external audiences with primary focus on funders, donors, and community leaders
Administration/Planning
- Participates in administrative activities, e.g., leadership team meetings, management meetings and facility planning
- In partnership with the Fund Development Office, leads a variety of regional activities related to fund development, including, but not limited to, identifying, researching and vetting community leaders for CHSW board, and active participate in the strategic efforts around funding from donors, foundations, corporations, and community groups
- Supervises facilities management, including maintenance, development of lease agreements, and capital improvements for one or more service sites in conjunction with the Chief Operations Officer
Supervision
- Provides leadership, direction, and supervision to staff at one or more service site
- Maintains regular supervisory meetings with individual staff to review work assignments
- Maintains a working knowledge of service activities and, in partnership with Program Manager(s), implements best-practice standards
- Provides an annual performance evaluation of all staff
Other
- Must possess strong relationship building skills to communicate and work within a culturally diverse work environment and regions
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Program Officer
- Advocates for the values of a diverse population within CHSW and the Region
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Regional-based experience in social service or nonprofit agencies
- Demonstrated supervisory experience that reflects progressive responsibilities in hiring, firing, training, performance evaluation, conflict resolution and disciplinary counseling
- Experience working directly with children, youth, and family programs
- Requires experience and training in management, administration, and/or planning
- Must possess strong human-relations skills to communicate effectively with staff, management and regional
- Experience and skill in regional organizing and regional liaison
- Proficient in MS Office
- CRM and moves management experience
- Requires an ability to work independently and to organize and prioritize responsibilities.
- Understanding and experience in the provision of services to a diverse socioeconomic and cultural population
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
This job is performed in a professional office environment. The following list is representative of the work environment employees encounter while performing the essential functions of this job:

Working remotely is a benefit of Children’s Home Society of Washington’s flexible workplace, but remote work cannot be offered for all positions. Some positions require daily presence in the office. Remote work arrangements may be adjusted or rescinded based upon business needs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard; occasionally to reach, stoop and kneel

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years related experience at managerial level, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities required
- 2 years demonstrated supervisory experience, which reflects progressive responsibilities in hiring, firing, training performance evaluations, conflict resolution and disciplinary counseling
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and be capable of obtaining jail clearance
- Successful completion of a drivers check if position requires driving on a regular basis (at least three times per week) or drives consumers. Must not have more than two driving incidents within the last three years
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree
- Fluent in a second language
SALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
The salary range for this position is $95,078- $142,617. The starting salary range for this position is $95,078- $118,848 DOE for external candidates.

Employees will also receive 10 days of vacation leave each year, one personal day each year, and will accrue one sick day per month (pro-rated for part-time employees).
