Job Description:

The position will be responsible for the set-up and operation of Automated or manual load/unload Punch Machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The position may assume additional duties as assigned. Skills/Abilities/Activities:

• Ability to program machines
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Ability to drive a forklift
• Ability to compare and accurately determine difference in size, shape, and form of objects

• Ability to read a tape measure in metric and empirical standards
• Ability to correctly and safety use other hand tools (both manual and pneumatic)
• Ability to plan work and select proper tools
• Ability to apply shop mathematics to solve problems
• Ability to read effectively from a paper copy
• Ability to work within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to follow and understand directions
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings correctly
• Sets-up and operates machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely fashion
• Assists in performing trouble shooting on machine when needed
• Safely and effectively use hand tools, measuring tape, and machine equipment
• Inspects finished products
• Sharpens tools as needed

Education/Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED is required
• Previous experience in NC Punch Operation is preferred
