Seeking a highly organized purchasing associate to join our supply chain team in Cerritos, CA. This position requires a multi-tasking individual to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a solid background in supply chain management and will take a proactive approach in all purchasing related processes.

Job duties include:

• Identify cost related factors through profit and loss analysis
• Issue/Send out purchase orders to vendors and ensure products are brought in at the most competitive cost and delivers on time
• Manage logistics with import shipments, help arrange shipping spaces in need.
• Need basic knowledge of import logistics and able to review shipping documents for internal process and for custom clearance
• Communicate with vendors to resolve any issues regarding purchase order
• Update on all open orders to meet customer’s deadline/satisfaction
• Collects, organizes, edits, and provides data from various computer systems and databases to Supply Chain team members and management in order to effectively evaluate processes and performance within the procurement cycle
• Communicates with suppliers, supply chain members and internal operation team members to identify and resolve issues associated with the procurement cycle
• Be able to work with all departments with an effective working relationship with other employees
• Monitor and maintain inventory level
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple priorities
• Inspect production samples, handling quality control issues

Qualifications:

• Sourcing & Procurement Occupations: 2 years (Preferred)
• Full-time college or university education/vocational school training in business or job-related field (Preferred)
• Strong analytical skills and experience in international logistics is a plus
