QA Engineer, DOE, DoD, Nuclear Job at Day and Zimmermann - ECM
Day & Zimmermann is actively searching for a QA Engineer for our DOE, DoD & Nuclear work.
This QA Engineer will provide Quality Assurance management and oversight for the corporation's Quality Programs including QA Nuclear, DOE and DoD markets. Develop and maintain Government compliant programs for D&Z. Assure through direct supervision, oversight and performance of dialy duties that quality activities for the company and venders are defined, planned, implemented and documented in accordance with client, company, government and industry standards.

- Analytical ability to grasp key factors from detailed specifications
- Effective verbal communication and report writing skills.
- Working knowledge of construction industry Codes and Standards
- Good leadership capabilities to lead quality initiatives to successful completion.
- Basic knowledge of applicable software to compile quality process data. Familiar with the tools, concepts and methodologies of quality management
What you need to bring to the table:
- College degree or equivalent experience
- 15 - 20 years Quality related experience in Nuclear, DOE, DoD
- Previous government clearances preferred.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide supervision, direction and oversight of the DOE and DoD and Nuclear Quality Programs and Projects.
- Develop and maintain Government compliant programs for D&Z. Assure that DOE and DoD Quality activities for the company and suppliers are defined, planned, implemented and documented in accordance with client, company and government standards
- Coordinate Quality activities with business units and project organizations.
- Coordinate activities to ensure that Quality Program and Project budgets, schedules and priorities are met.
- Assist in the day to day operations of the corporation's Quality Programs for open and closed shops and across all business units. Participate in internal and external audits and perform project surveillances as needed. Will provide assistance to the QA Manager for QA activities
