The Construction QA QC Tech is responsible for assisting the implementation of the company’s quality control program, including the coordination, performance, and execution of supplier inspection and construction inspection services for the projects. Additionally, a QA QC Tech is responsible for assuring that the quality of the work meets or exceeds the project's contractual requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the inspection team with in-process inspection as defined in the relevant Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and following Compass’ Quality Management system requirements
  • Assist in weld visual inspection and complete welding documentation
  • Assist in Hydrostatic Testing
  • Assist in final inspection and quality check for assembly units
  • Build and complete turnover package for the client
  • Write operational QAQC procedures and conduct related training
  • Lead and assist in the development and implementation of the General Legal and Minimum Quality Requirements for North American Project processes and procedures, which guarantee high quality, meet customer needs and comply with regulatory requirements
  • Assure project compliance with the Permit-To-Work system
  • Meet operational standards by contributing Quality assurance and Quality Control information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems
  • Perform and supervise the QA/QC system requirements acc. to the Quality Management System
  • Assist in the development of construction QAQC execution plans, including cost budget, schedule, risk analysis, and quality assurance
  • Monitor and supervise the implementation of the LE quality management tools on site (e.g., WSD, SAS, ICM)
  • Accomplish QAQC construction objectives by monitoring site training, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures
  • Supervise contractors responsible for erecting the fabricated components and equipment at the customer’s site
  • 5 years of experience with construction and/or QAQC construction engineering management is preferable
  • Experience in the development of and/or compliance with QAQC construction engineering
  • Highly proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Familiar with ASME Codes, AVE, ASNT, APT, and State and Federal Codes
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Forklift/Man lift certified, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug test
  • Must have a TWIC Card OR be able to pass a background check to get a TWIC Card
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
