Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional Job at Progressive Housing, Inc.
We are seeking a dedicated professional to add to our team as a Vocational Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) for persons with Intellectual Disabilities. Vocational programs provide assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities with gaining, retraining or improving self-help, socialization and adaptive skills in a non-residential setting, separate from the individual's private residence or other living arrangements.
Areas of responsibility for the Vocational QIDP include but not limited to:
-Develops implementation strategies and monitors progress.
-Supervises and provides training to the trainers on the implementation strategies.
-Ensures that services specified in the Personal Plan are being provided and are included in the Implementation Strategy.
-Maintains up to date individual case files in compliance with agency guidelines, in accordance with DHS-DD latest requirements.
-Trains staff on outcomes developed from the Implementation Strategy and retrain as needed.
-Maintain an open line of communication with ISCs/parents/guardians/CILAs and ensure quality services are being provided.
-Conducts daily visits to group areas to ensure quality services and plan implementation.
-Completes assessments for each individual as required/needed.
-Coordinates programs and community outings with trainers, providing suggestions and ensuring follow through.
-Updates and distributes daily staff schedules and provides emergency coverage when necessary
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the field of Human Services
-One year experience with working with developmentally disabled persons
-Valid Illinois driver's license, acceptable driving record, ability to become Pace Certified
-Ability to pass drug and background screens
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
