Job Overview
As Quality Assurance Manager, you are responsible for maintaining and improving Mariposa Farm’s high-quality expectations and imparting a “culture of quality” that ensures the identification and prevention of sub-par products from reaching our customers that could result in costly returns or damage to company reputation. You are the primary person at the company responsible for the implementation of quality standards and testing procedures in line with Primus Global Food Safety (GFS) guidelines and will operate as the subject matter expert in this regard. As part of this role, you are responsible for communicating and training production team members about quality standards and assist the team in identifying and correcting the areas that have the highest risk for defects and errors. You will use customer feedback and instances of poor-quality product reaching the customer as examples in your communication and training. You will be working on the production floor where you will examine shipments of inventory and raw goods, safely reworking or discarding items that do not meet the necessary specifications.
