POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Associate is responsible for ensuring that our effervescent tablets and powders are manufactured in accordance with applicable procedures, specifications and in a cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) compliant manner. Partners with manufacturing department personnel throughout production life cycle to assure that procedures are followed and activities are appropriately documented.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Communicate and partner on a continuous/daily basis with production management and machine operators in order to understand and support activities on the production floor.
• Issue batch records; Review completed batch records and conduct release activities as authorized by Quality Manager.
• Manage all quality events associated with production activities. Use risk based principles to assess events and determine appropriate actions. Manage deviations and coordinate and document investigations as required.
• Routinely review activities and documentation that is being generated on the production floor in order to assure compliance.
• Keep abreast of applicable SOPs pertaining to shop floor practices (cleaning, room conditions, change overs / line clearance, etc.) and reviews activities to verify ongoing compliance.
• Support production management in developing and conducting applicable training.
• Responsible for the proper filing and storage of quality documentation.
• Sample raw materials and packaging components to help meet department demands.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality assurance in a cGMP environment or other highly regulated environment
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Track record of partnership building and collaboration with other departments.
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills; both oral and written.
• Must be flexible in adapting to changing priorities and possess the ability to respond quickly to business needs and have a ‘will do whatever is necessary’ attitude
• Outstanding work ethic
