What defines this job?

• Inspect coated parts for coating thickness, coating adherence, surface finish, substrate & coating hardness, size and appearance, records inspection information consistent with prescribed methods and procedures
• Conduct audits under supervision; control plan audits, product audits, 5S, HSE, QMS self-assessment and customer supplied audit forms
• Responsibility for relevant Document and Data control, updates and maintains daily inspection logs in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain a clean workstation; ensure it is functioning within required safety guidelines, and maintaining lab equipment
• Communicates effectively to supervision and operating personnel to achieve optimum continuity of workflow and quality, and any other job-related problems
• Use precision measuring instruments and makes precision inspection set-ups
• Responsible for 5S Program (continuous improvement) in the QC area and other areas where assigned
• Other duties as assigned

What do we ask?

Minimum High School education with sufficient knowledge gained through experience; Associate Degree preferred. 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment completing QC inspections and procedures. Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office. Good organization and time management skills. Must be able to sit/stand for long periods, be able to read small print, as small as 6 font and distinguish color differences. Must be able to wear required PPE. The preferred candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Good dexterity skills and must be able to handle precision machined parts and have the ability to read instructions in English. Position is working Monday through Friday 3:30 pm - 11:45 pm OR a floating shift 11 am - 6 pm.
