Summary: This position is responsible for supporting Hino Motors in achieving safety, supplied parts, internal, and customer requirements in support of HMMAR's Hoshin goals. SV’s will monitor and analyze the performance of the quality department KPI's, and provide support to other department in meeting quality requirements. Supervisor will manage daily work and personnel within the Quality Department,


Job Duties:

  • Supplier: Insure the effective execution of the HMMAR Receiving inspection system. Insure nonconformance’s are properly documented, tracked, and reported. Insure all suspect material is quarantined and dispositioned. Work with QE’s to insure effective closure of all supplier countermeasures. Create and modify RI work instructions and check sheets.
  • Internal: Assure a safe work environment for all workers. Insure all internal quality functions are carried out according to the quality plan, and results documented and reported. Create / Modify all internal QC quality standard work and checksheets. Monitor and report the effectiveness of the QC employees, utilize QC resources in a manner that provides for the most accurate and efficient execution of the quality plan. Provide assistance to HMMAR in containment and countermeasures of internal quality issues.
  • Customer: Provide assistance to HMMAR in containment and countermeasures of external quality issues. Provide accurate data for countermeasure investigations, and insure that standard work is followed in all aspects of the QC function.
  • Hoshin Goals: Reduce the number of suppliers not meeting Hino targets. Improve internal quality through audit performance. Support customer countermeasure activities for quick response and no repeat issues.
  • Maintain departmental performance matrices, manage hourly personnel, provide guidance, training and resources in support of all team members.


Education and Experience:

  • Technical Degree in Quality / Engineering Field and two years Quality Control experience preferred, or equivalent experience.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple assignments in order to meet deadlines/targets.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer applications/programs.
  • Knowledge of Statistics, Gauging, and Quality Systems.
