DL George & Sons Manufacturing, a family owned and operated company, is looking for a Quality Engineer to assist in the planning, development, implementation, communication and maintenance of our Quality Management Systems in our Waynesboro, PA location.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in a metal fabrication QA/QC capacity, BS/BE degree in a technical field and 2+ years of related experience with preference for a metal fabrication environment, or, equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of QA concepts and practices
• Knowledge of related quality assurance and engineering standards, techniques and criteria
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to comprehend and convey complex technical data
• Above average skill in the use of MS Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Intermediate math skills and problem-solving ability
• Basic understanding and use of precision measuring instruments
• Highly developed organization skills
• Working knowledge and experience with Faro Technologies
• Working experience with AWS or ASME codes and standards
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and AISC certification requirements

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ensure DLGM activities are performed in compliance with the DLGM QMS
• Ensure implementation of QE responsibilities as prescribed in DLGM procedures and work instructions
• Initiate, review, and monitor various quality-related documentation, including procedures, work instructions, purchase orders, drawings, specifications, work orders, welding and inspection/test forms, non-conformance & corrective action reports, and other in-process documents, as necessary
• Coordinate the disposition and corrective action of discrepant material and fabrication
• Perform various inspections to verify fabricated items meet customer requirements as assigned
• Perform or support internal audits and supplier qualification activities as assigned
• Prepare performance trend and efficiency reports as assigned
• Support maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 certification as assigned
