SUMMARY

Under general supervision, they are responsible for supporting various quality control programs designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Supports all departments including Materials, Engineering, New Product Design, Sales, Estimating and Quoting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain quality records on internal results, internal corrective action process, MRB activity, RMA process and publishing reports to ADC Management for resolution.
  • Work with manufacturing/quality staff to resolve or eliminate any quality issues disclosed by quality control process.
  • Prepare required quality reports and follow up on any and all failure analysis/corrective action needed.
  • Interface with customers to resolve quality issues. Investigate customer’s concerns regarding quality. Participate in various audits.
  • Responsible for supporting the ISO Quality System.
  • Participate in NPI meetings and collaborate with Sales Team on testing parameters relating to customer projects and programs
  • Responsible for ADCE Product Compliance and other Industry Standards
  • Provide ongoing manufacturing and quality engineering support to improve productivity and resolve issues.
  • Oversee process development and control, designed to improve productivity and profitability while maintaining high outgoing quality.
  • Review and analyze test equipment performance data
  • Review Failure Analysis/Test Gaps on products within the supply chain. Work with vendors to insure quality of all purchased material by participating in customer and supplier scorecard reviews.
  • Conducts training, certification, and re-certification sessions for QA staff as well as Production staff per company procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment in line with company policy.
  • Understanding and adherence to the Safety Codes of manufacturing.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the QA Manager

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ years related assembly experience
  • Must be able to read mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Previous experience in a clean room environment preferable
  • Experience in cabling, module and sub-assembly testing, and inspection

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of cable harness and fiber assembly and testing.
  • Ability to verify all assemblies and sub-assemblies have been built correctly per drawing/work instructions.
  • Ability to resolve assembly discrepancies noted in drawing/work instructions
  • Ability to communicate in an effective manner.
