Quantitative Trading Director Job at Kershner Trading Group
Kershner Trading Group, LLC “KTG,” a multi-strat fund is seeking an experienced Director to dramatically grow its Quantitative Trading Group. This position is based in our Austin, TX headquarters.
KTG is a leading proprietary trading and technology firm headquartered in Austin, Texas with offices in Chicago, New York, and London. We provide capital and infrastructure to quantitative and discretionary traders who actively trade financial instruments on behalf of the firm. The primary focus of our quantitative trading and tools is on US equities and expanding to crypto and futures. Our preferred quantitative strategies are intraday to a few days.
Ideal candidates for this position will have broad experience in successfully leading, coaching and further developing Quantitative Portfolio Managers “QPM” as well as recruiting, training and mentoring new QPM’s. We believe that the most important job for this role is to recruit and build teams. We would expect candidates to be able to assist in guiding the architecture of our technology stack as we expand to alternative products.
Additional qualifications include:
- Extensive knowledge of optimization, machine learning, algorithmic execution, and transaction cost modeling
- Minimum of 5 years leading a successful quant group
- Proven experience around recruiting teams and individual quants.
- Advance programming language experience and statistical languages
- Knowledge and live history of trading US Equity and/or cryptocurrency
- Entrepreneurial spirit
