This temporary position of Senior Radio Frequency Technician will join our Antenna and Microwave Products - Test Product Sustainment team. Position will require participation in the move from the North Building in Dallas to the McKinney site starting in January 2024.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing subject matter expertise and on-the-job training to Engineering Technicians in the following areas: troubleshooting test sets and associated equipment and troubleshooting production CCAs and subassemblies.
  • Other duties will include documenting procedures, processes and reporting of test set status to be utilized in the investigation of upgrades, obsolescence, and improvements to test.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum of 10 years as an engineering technician with background in electrical design support and troubleshooting of systems and board level designs.
  • Expert level knowledge on troubleshooting modules, CCAs and TRIMMs for NGJ.
  • Expert level knowledge of test set troubleshooting on the NGJ program.
  • Ability to train other is the use of RF/MW test equipment such as signal sources, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers and other general use test equipment.
  • Ability to train others in microwave network measurement process (specifically S-Parameters) and application theory.
  • Ability to train others to work from schematics, test requirements including written and oral instructions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).

  • Track workflow and move product through software manufacturing flow processes.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to interface with persons of multiple disciplines and job functions.

Education:

Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Certification may be required for technical support roles.

Clearance Requirement:

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

This is a temporary position of an undetermined length.

The salary range for this role is 27.40/hr – 48.65; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training and key skills.
