Railroad Load Planner (FT) Job at Rail Management Services
We are hiring immediately for a Railroad Train Planner (Load Planner) to Join our team at the BNSF St Luis, MO rail terminal in a recession-proof industry! This is an entry-level position and no experience is required as we'll teach you everything you need to know to be successful on the job.

- $17.00
- You can expect to make $37,500 - $45,000 in your 1st year in hourly pay with overtime factored in.
Schedule:
- Nights and Weekends Required
- 6 pm-6 am
- Rotating 2-week Schedule (Work 3 days, off 4 days, work 4 days off 3 days)

Summary/Objective:
The Load Planner coordinates the terminal’s train planning to ensure retention of service levels and thereby satisfy the customer’s requirements. This is accomplished thru the coordination of the operating department and the Class 1 Railroad.
Essential Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for scheduling, and coordinating the intermodal train planning activities of the terminal.
- Ensure accuracy when making decisions for a major change in train planning. Non-routing matters are referred with recommended solutions to the terminal manager.
- Daily contact is normally maintained with the terminal manager for informational purposes and for recommendations to improve productivity and cost controls, other Managers within the terminal for the coordination of train planning.
- Maintain good relations with all major contacts including the Union Pacific Railroad Manager of Intermodal Train planning to keep apprised of intermodal conditions and secure information concerning inbound train arrivals.
- Maintain awareness and organization within the rail yard, including attention to the ground surface (potholes, debris, and/or slippery conditions).
- All other duties as assigned.
