RBC Pathways offers these individuals the opportunity to learn about the financial industry and specifically, what it’s like to work at RBC Capital Markets. Talented college sophomores and juniors are provided with first-hand experience and the opportunity to participate in our premier ten-week paid summer internship program at our office in Houston. In addition to internship compensation, students are eligible to receive a $3,000 relocation stipend before the start of their first internship, and a $15,000 financial award at the start of their second internship; additional terms to be communicated to successful candidates.
U.S. Summer Analyst Program
Each year, we invite high-performing, rising college seniors to join our Global Investment Banking (GIB) platform for a 10-week U.S. Summer Analyst Program. The program offers Summer Analysts an opportunity to work alongside our investment bankers on a variety of live transactions as well as client- facing business development initiatives.
GIB provides a complete suite of strategic advisory services, as well as equity and debt capital raising capabilities for leading corporations, institutions and governments. RBC Capital Markets’ investment banking platform focuses on nine core industries and seven product groups.

As a GIB Summer Analyst you will spend your time:
- Developing and preserving complex financial models
- Creating pitch books and other client materials
- Generating and maintaining financial models and analysis
- Conducting research to analyze market trends
- Supporting live deals and major transactions

Eligibility
- You are a full-time undergraduate student currently enrolled at a U.S. college or university who identifies as Black, African American, Hispanic, Latinx, and/or Native American.
- You are passionate about pursuing a full-time career in Capital Markets (i.e. investment banking, corporate finance, municipal finance, origination, sales & trading, research or technology)
- You are able to join us as a Summer Analyst the summer after your Sophomore year
- You are able to return the summer after your Junior year, providing performance feedback from Sophomore year summer is strong
- You graduate between December 2024 and June 2025
Selection Process
Following the deadline, applications will be reviewed by a team of business leaders at RBC Capital Markets. Select applicants will be invited to a virtual learning session and advance to the interview process. Select candidates will be invited to final round interviews with senior RBC Capital Markets professionals.
