RBT/Behavior Technician for Outpatient ABA Job at TILL, Inc.

The Behavior Technician (BT) works in TILL’s In-Home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program, providing families with support, and implementing interventions established by a Master’s level BCBA,LABA. Assess a child’s developmental and behavioral needs related to his/her diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The BT works as part of a team and receives guidance from the ABA analyst to implement behavior modification plans with the child. The BT works intensively wuth the caregiver(s)and child on establishing structure and rules, developing independent living skills, teaching self-regulation and self soothing and other behavioral interventions. There are part/full time opportunities and opportunities for full time with benefits. $22-29/hr per diem.

Essential Functions:
Behavioral Interventions and Monitoring
 Develop positive connection and rapport with the child and family.

 Provide coaching/modeling for caregiver(s) based on evidence-based practices and guidance from the ABA analyst.

 Utilize Safety Care de-escalation strategies.

 Monitor progress of goals/objectives of behavior treatment plan developed by BCBA.

 Implement behavior modification strategies with children to increase positive behaviors and decrease/extinguish maladaptive behaviors; directly implement skill acquisition plans developed by the BCBA; identify reinforcers and strategies for the generalization of learned skills beyond ABA sessions.

 Consistent data collection and summary.

Documentation:
 Timely completion of written clinical progress notes.

 Data Collection.

Other duties
 Attend supervision with BCBA.

 Attend monthly staff meetings.

 Complete all required trainings.

 Local travel to client homes.

 Follow all program policies and procedures.

 Minimum of 8-12 hours per week.

Essential Qualifications
 Must be 18 years or older.
 A high school diploma or GED is required, and 12 months experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, children adolescents, transition age youth or families.
OR
 Associate’s degree in either a human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management and a minimum of six months of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly Autism.
 Certification as an RBT and 3 months experience.
 Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
 Bilingual individuals strongly encouraged to apply (not required).
 Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

AREAS: SALEM, SWAMPSCOTT, DORCHESTER, PEABODY, WALPOLE, HYDE PARK, BRAINTREE, JAMAICA PLAIN, AND SURROUNDING AREAS.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
