The New York Red Bulls are one of 28 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.

The primary responsibility of the role is to manage the operations and logistics of all Regional Development School (RDS) try-out-based programming, through all phases from try-out to program completion. The individual will manage a portfolio of training locations including spring, fall, and winter RDS clinics, summer RDS Residential Camps, and RDS Talent Centers, and will be directly responsible for planning, preparing, and executing all facets of the program, ensuring that communication and is clear, accurate, and timely, and that all training locations run smoothly and efficiently.

The successful candidate will effectively manage a pool of around 6000 players annually, will work closely with the RDS Customer Service Representative, RDS Regional Coaches and will report to the Senior Manager of Player Development.

  • PROGRAM OPERATIONS & EXECUTION

    Monitor registration volume and build operational plans within a standard SOP framework, based on attendance trends.

    • Work closely with host facilities to ensure preparedness for events and appropriate risk management considerations.

    • Assist with the allocation of coaching clusters and lead the communication of operational plans to all assigned staff.

    • Have an active and in-person presence at each training location, ensuring quality control and consistent messaging across facilities.

    • Communicate all information relevant to RDS programming, including program start and conclusion updates, rain-out notifications, and other schedule changes, reminders and updates.

    • Work closely with RDS CSR to ensure best-in-class customer service, and RDS Regional Coordinators to ensure operational excellence.

  • PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

    • Ensure that all player evaluations are completed to a high professional standard and are distributed in a timely manner.

    • Maintain all player tracking databases, ensuring fast identification of players of interest for RDS Showcase, Pre-Academy and Academy programs.

    • Lead player selection meetings, manage the collection of performance data and distribution of all try-out feedback.

  • Excellent writing skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of brand continuity and the importance of quality control.
  • Proven critical thinking ability, with excellent judgement and decision making under pressure.
  • Must be available evenings and weekends and willingness to work a flexible schedule based on seasonal demands of the role.
  • Because of the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, you may be asked to work varying schedules to reflect our needs (includes nights and weekends).
  • Bachelor's preferred
