Reentry Services Specialist
LOCATION: North Star Neighborhood Reentry Resource Center, Cleveland Ohio
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
PAY: $17.00/hr

As a Reentry Services Specialist, you would be responsible for providing effective services to assigned clients, working with clients’ families, and conducting presentations under the supervision of the Director of Business Development.
Essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Attends and manages reentry fairs and community events. And conducts community presentations in the greater Cleveland area.
- Conduct specialized orientations with new members being directly referred by Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and Adult Parole Authority.
- Works with the Director of Business Development and Research Department to track, review, and input data in an accurate and timely manner. Data includes, but may not be limited to: client orientation, institutional presentations, client and provider follow up calls, North Star contact rate and enhance member rate.
- Administers problem identification sheet/self-assessment for client members who are formerly incarcerated facility in an effective and accurate manner.
- Provides enhanced support to members based upon risk level; identifies members’ needs including, but not limited to: housing, substance abuse treatment, mental health services, medical services, mentoring services, family assistance and services, counseling, employment training, adult basic education, or other educational needs.
- Coordinates with providers to ensure linkages for services identified by the member in an effective, efficient, and courteous manner. Accurately documents information for client case files in a timely manner.
- Make referrals to community organizations for members. Follows up with members to ensure services were provided. Intervenes and acts as an advocate for members when problems or issues arise as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, public speaking, and writing skills required.
- Reliable transportation, valid Ohio driver’s license, and a driving record that does not preclude the employee from being covered by Agency liability insurance.
- Must have the ability to effectively work with Agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population.
- Must be willing to undergo backgrounds checks and pass a drug screen
