Skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency with complex programming concepts
- Demonstrated proficiency with JavaScript including:
- Proficiency with JavaScript Browser APIs
- Working knowledge of React-JS
- Working knowledge of React Hooks
- Demonstrated competency with python and at least one other programming language
- Working knowledge of nginx, django, SQL, Jenkins, BitBucket, Git, Kubernetes, JIRA, containers, networking
- General knowledge of DevOps practices
Job requirements:
A successful candidate will become part of a diverse, multi-national, high-performing development team creating the next generation disk drive certification infrastructure. A successful candidate will need to be able to work independently and in a team environment. You may be asked to take requirements documents and, working with the team members, break the requirements down into tasks, scope that work, and complete the work in a series of sprints. You will determine the level of testing required to validate your work and work with the project lead to arrange for testing resources. In some cases, you will be asked to perform your own tests and provide written reports on the outcomes.
Weekly status reports will be required to keep the project lead appraised of your progress. These reports should contain work accomplished during the week, scheduled work for the next week and any issues that you need assistance with.
Interview requirements:
- Copies of code, including output, that demonstrates JavaScript and Python skills (no proprietary code, please)
- As part of your interview, you will be required to do a code walk-through of one of your example programs. The interview team will select the code during the interview.
- A skills and knowledge test will be administered
