KHS America is a Musical Instruments distributor managing more than 20 musical instrument brands. We are dedicated to the enrichment of lives through music performance and education by providing high quality musical instruments and services designed to support musicians, educators and our retail partners. We are now recruiting for a 2nd shift Receiving Supervisor to work in our US corporate distribution warehouse in Mount Juliet.

Hours are Monday - Friday 3pm - 11:30pm with the possibility of overtime

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Take ownership for and drive with discipline the execution of the Receiving areas, to positively impact performance relative to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity
  • Ensure timely unloading of containers and receiving of product
  • Validate goods received against packing slip/receipts list, report daily records to Warehouse Management
  • Ensure inventory integrity and accuracy; complete required cycle counts daily
  • Responsible for the health, safety, cleanliness, and security of the warehouse work environment; ensure all federal and state OSHA regulations that pertain to our operation are met
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment
  • Maintain regular job attendance; regular work schedule is Monday—Friday; 8-hour shifts; additional time may be needed to accomplish job duties

  • Physical demands: While performing the duties of the job, the incumbent is required to frequently talk, hear, stand and walk on a concrete floor; occasionally sit; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, feel or handle objects, tools or controls. Eye-foot-hand coordination to operate equipment. Employee will frequently kneel, bend and squat; will lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, peripheral vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
  • Work environment: Warehouse work environment which is not temperature controlled resulting in extreme heat or cold based on outside temperatures; exposure to dust, odors, fumes, oils; the noise level is usually moderate.
Requirements:

Qualifications required:

  • High school diploma or state-approved high school equivalency diploma
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to perform basic math functions
  • Minimum 3 years successful experience in a warehouse supervisory role
  • Knowledge of principles and methods of warehouse shipping and receiving processes
  • Certified to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • Experience using a computer in a work environment including experience with ERP, etc.

Qualifications desired:

  • Demonstrated experience in engaging and leading a team and coordinating people and resources
  • Experience with SAP software and RF scanners
  • Knowledge of freight carriers and their operations
  • Knowledge of basic OSHA and other safety requirements
