Receptionist Job at Approved Freight Forwarders
JOB SUMMARY:
The Receptionist will provide guidance and administrative support to all department. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to field a high volume of incoming calls while providing excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Exhibits a pleasant and welcoming demeanor both in person and on the phone.
- Answers and directs incoming phone calls to various work areas.
- Draft written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary.
- Responds to regularly occurring requests for information.
- Greet and welcome incoming visitors.
- Provides effective oral and written communication (via telephone, email, and mail).
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of incoming calls
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Two years of prior administrative/office experience
- Two years of Customer Service experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. unassisted
- Repeating motions on a computer that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
