Burcham Hills is an upscale senior living retirement community located in the backyard of Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. We currently have a vacancy for a Receptionist to work a Part-Time schedule in our Center for Health and Rehab. In this position the Receptionist is responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, flow of correspondence, as well as keeping the reception area open and operating effectively and promptly and in addition to but not limited to the following duties:

• Provide superior customer service to residents/clients, family members, visitors, and employees/contractors.
• Provide clerical duties for supervisor or other departments (to be approved by supervisor).
• Type memos/notices as needed.
• Perform scheduling for a variety of physician appointments and procedures in the CHR.
• Communicate all pertinent information regarding appointments and procedures to staff and family members.
• Keep updated resident room lists.
• Monitor call lights.

Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Must have 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to answer all incoming calls and transfer calls appropriately Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend written and oral instructions in English. Proficient in Windows environment, MS Office and other data base programs.
