A DAY IN THE LIFE!
The Receptionist duties include answering visitor inquiries about the company, directing visitors to appropriate contacts, sorting mail, answering incoming calls, and arranging appointments for guests to meet with company staff.

The receptionist may also assume a security guard function with the company. Often they monitor who is coming and going through the doors and they are able to observe and report any suspicious behavior or activity.

WORK HOURS 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MON-FRI

• Answer the telephone, screen and direct calls.
• Take and relay messages.
• Greet persons entering the building.
• Monitor who is entering and leaving the building through signing in/out.
• Handle inquiries from the public and customers.
• General administrative and clerical support.
• Assist with preparations for new hire orientations.
• Maintain Attendance Log for each employee.
• Receive and sort mail and deliveries.
• Tidy and maintain the reception area.
• Assist with inventory of office supplies.
• Other duties as assigned

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience with multi-line phone system.
• Basic understanding of human resource functions.
• MUST BE Proficient in Excel MS Office and Data Entry.
• Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
• At least 1 year related experience.
• Well organized.
• Accurate and attentive to detail.
• Excellent communication and public relations abilities.
• Ability to assist and support others.
• Able to operate PC, copier, and other basic business machines.

What it's like at the Russell Stover Plants

• Safety. Your safety is important to us, so we provide protective gear. We also go through an in-depth Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training on your first day and continue to share safety tips daily
• Surroundings. You'll be working around different machines – Schubert's, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and chocolate candy banks/steels.
• Activity. Some activities may require standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs/ladders, and routinely lift 50 lbs.
• Temperature. You will be comfortable year-round with our climate-controlled environment. Our temperatures are consistently around 63°F but could fluctuate depending on your specific role.
• Smell. You will enjoy a variety of deliciously sweet aromas and you may end your day smelling like chocolate!
• Dress code. Relaxed, with a few rules to follow for food safety, personal safety and in guidance with our good manufacturing practices (GMP). Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required. Leather, imitation leather, or rubber boots or shoes must be worn in the kitchen and other areas when working around hot liquid/product or hot water.
