Primary Functions:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will perform full cycle recruitment activities such as sourcing, recruitment, and selection of key internal and external talent for identified needs while maintaining a high level of service and achieving a positive candidate and hiring manager experience. The primary focus of this recruiter’s assignment will be entry level to mid-level job requisitions. In addition, support Human Resources primary functions in related areas such as Talent Acquisition, On Boarding and Pre-Employment vendor management.
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Responsibilities
- Performs full-cycle recruitment as assigned including candidate sourcing, resume and application review, phone screening of qualified applicants, managing the offer process, and coordinating the onboarding process for new hires.
- Own sourcing of quality candidates through various channels (applicant tracking system, LinkedIn, social media, DEIB recruiting database, recruiting events, etc.).
- Track the candidate application process from start to end, documenting candidate activity in our applicant tracking system.
- Pre-screening qualified candidates to determine candidates meet appropriate technical and professional experience.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with hiring managers to understand their unique hiring needs and goals.
- Manage timely and professional communication with candidates throughout the interview process.
- Serve as a passionate and knowledgeable company ambassador to candidates.
- Offer an exceptional candidate experience by going beyond the job description during phone screens to provide deeper insight into how the position fits within the candidate's respective skill set as well as how the position works within the company.
- Manage and maintain our Employee Referral Program.
- Plans and attends various recruitment functions for the organization including job fairs, open houses, college recruitment fairs and national conferences.
- Maintains up to date knowledge and compliance with federal and state employment laws and guidelines.
Human Resources Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department.
- Co-support in managing employee-related correspondence via HR@newmeridiancorp.org and escalate for support as needed.
- Serve as the pre-employment employee electronic file administrator. Ensure that applicant and pre-employment employee files (paper and digital) are maintained: current, accurate and complete.
- Manage vendor relations within the Talent Acquisition functions, negotiate rates, and serve as the bridge to internal stakeholders, such as the budget committee or senior Human Resources professional.
- Serve as the secondary department communication liaison by means of content generation and design creation. Support communication initiatives including developing creative presentations for survey analysis, people dynamics, and social media outreach and engagement.
- Design, develop and manage the Talent Acquisition page, under the Human Resources confluence page by ensuring source of truth page is current, easy to access and up to date as it pertains to all employee policies and procedures.
- As assigned, assist in the research, development, and implementation of department specific policies. Co-develop new and revised HR-related policies and procedure based on the guidance from immediate supervisor/director of HR. Support implementation as needed.
- As assigned, support the DEIB Committee.

Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements
- Computer skills in word processing, formatting, email, and database usage.
- Strong analytical and relationship skills.
- Excellent writing and oral communications skills.
- Very organized, detail oriented, and readily able to multi-task.
- Knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and best practices.
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong work ethic, people oriented, team player, and excited to increase employee happiness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work independently.
- Self-driven and highly motivated, with a true sense of ownership from start to finish.
- Willingness and flexibility to support ad hoc projects as needed.
Educational and/or Work Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business or Human Resource.
- 5-7 years of full-cycle recruitment in a rapid growth environment.
- Experience managing multiple, diverse, and critical requisitions at one time.
Preferred
- HRCI (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential.
- Educational, Technical or Assessment recruitment experience.
