Overview:
Karsun has a great opportunity for a Talent Acquisition (TA) Coordinator to join our team. The TA Coordinator is responsible for the administration of employment processes in accordance with Karsun’s hiring guidelines and policies. This position will provide exposure to key areas within recruiting with an emphasis on the candidate experience, onboarding, compliance, and social media.
Responsibilities:
  • Serving as the logistical point of contact for both internal and external candidates, including communicating directly with the candidates and ensuring signed paperwork is received in a timely manner
  • Handling various aspects of the candidate experience post offer acceptance, including processing of internal background checks, ensuring accurate start dates and compliance of on-boarding paperwork
  • Scheduling and delivery of New Hire Orientation
  • Partnering closely with the recruiting team to ensure operational risks are minimized
  • Establishing relationships within the recruitment team, internal stakeholders, and candidates to contribute to a seamless recruiting and onboarding process
  • Managing and updating the applicant tracking system, including but not limited to reviewing and ensuring completeness and compliance
  • Actively engaging with Recruitment and HR leadership to recommend process improvements as needed
  • Maintaining accurate record keeping and consistent storage of new hire candidate records
  • Conduct new hire orientation and complete new employee onboarding as needed.
  • Completing scheduled and ad hoc reports, as required
Qualifications and Education:
Required:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related discipline and minimum of 4+ years of related experience
  • Demonstrated accountability for owning portions of recruiting or human resources processes such as on-boarding, new hire paperwork, background screenings and/or orientation sessions
  • Strong ability to multi-task and work well under tight deadlines in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Superior organization skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously and engage with business leaders
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and seek to improve operating efficiencies
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred:
  • Candidates in the DC Metro area or immediately surrounding state with the ability to attend/support onsite event
  • Master's degree in related discipline
  • Experience supporting a recruiting department
  • Experience with processing background checks
  • Experience with a US government contractor
  • Experience with iCIMS applicant tracking system
