Position Summary
- Work on initiatives for admission recruitment off campus, as well as recruitment of student ambassadors on campus
- Attend local high school recruitment events as an ambassador of Westminster College
- Focus on creating opportunities to build community among ambassadors (e.g., coordinating to attend ASW activities, birthday or special occasion cards/recognition).
- Support office in preparation and coordination related to out of state and instate travel
- Develop Ambassador Appreciation program
- Incorporate social/racial justice learning opportunities into monthly tour guide trainings.
- Coordinate optional, monthly activities following tour guide training meeting.
- Coordinate with Admissions Comm Team to build ambassador presence
Responsibilities:
- All Fellows will prepare and facilitate professional development or on-campus social activities at Griffin Ambassador meetings.
- All Fellows will be trained as both student callers and tour guides.
- Fellows will assist the Campus Visit Specialist at the Admissions front desk.
- Fellows will plan and execute Griffin Ambassador meetings and events.
- Fellows will participate in the Undergraduate and/or First-Year meetings as “voting members.”
- Fellows will occasionally give tours as needed.
Specific Responsibilities:
- The Recruitment Fellow will support Admissions team with recruitment and territory management.
- The Recruitment Fellow will assist with swag and material request fulfillment.
- The Recruitment Fellow will coordinate the Take Westminster Home initiative.
- The Recruitment Fellow will coordinate Griffin Ambassador participation at recruitment events like college fairs, Utah Tour, and Utah College Application Week.
- The Recruitment Fellow will work with the Admissions Communications Team in new swag selection and design.
- The Recruitment Fellow will be familiar with the Westminster brand and tone
- Local recruitment day travel may be required
Required Qualifications
- Required: Completed at least one year of schooling at Westminster College AND have Junior or Senior status.
- Required: Previous work experience at Westminster College.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving mentality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Genuine affinity for Westminster College
- Preferred: Have drivers license and reliable transportation
