Summary Sells and supports the sales of cable and wire products to business and industrial establishments or individuals over the telephone by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborating with National and Regional Sales Managers, as a Sales Support Team. The team is responsible to follow up all sales leads from direct and indirect sales calls, conferences, project announcements.
  • Inbound and outbound sales calls, quotations (meeting customer technical requirements) and calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
  • Constant interaction with engineering, product support personnel and sales management, overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
  • Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders.
  • Estimates and secure dates of delivery to customer, based on production schedule knowledge of plant operations.
  • Builds and maintains customer’s relationships.
  • Prepares and manages all administrative requirements including reports for customer contracts.
  • Quoting system utilization. Understand complex product variations in order to quote in compliance with customer technical specifications
  • Specialized product quoting coordination between sales rep, customer, engineering, costing, production and logistics.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with engineering, production, packaging, length tolerances and deliveries.
  • Possibility to assist Regional Sales Managers attending trade shows or outside customer functions.
  • Coordinate customer complaints: collect all the information in order to complete analysis for root cause and corrective actions reports in coordination between plant in Mexico and customers in the USA.
  • Provide customer feedback in regards to: competitive and market pricing, lead time, manufacturing capabilities to the National and Regional Sales Managers.
  • Familiar with multiple product lines: Copper and Aluminum (different alloys); voltage and temperatures ratings, types of insulation compounds, semiconducting materials, jacketing (PVC, CPE, CSPE, PE, etc), industry standards and applications.
  • Communicate and coordinate between 2 manufacturing facilities (5 plants) in Monterrey, Mexico (7 different areas at the manufacturing facilities: IT, engineering, costing, programming, production, QA &QC, shipping & delivering).
  • Marginal income responsibilities in accordance with knowledge based criteria within the Division’s parameters; based on customer, project size and product line. Provide optional pricing schemes for best alternatives for both customer and company, understands, explains and submits differences of firm pricing based on metals escalation/ de- escalation.
  • Customer Contract and Project Administration. Managing contracts and projects details, status reports, manufacturing scheduling, logistics, customer questionnaires, forms and agreements and all other contract activities
  • Sales administration: customer set up, customized orders, analysis and preparation of Monthly Commissions Report, accounts receivable support, RGA’s, memos, complaints, negotiating discrepancies in coordination with the manufacturing facilities.
  • Identify and consult special order and customer requirements such as: pulling eyes, wood lagging, end caps, returnable metal reels, etc
  • Reel Recovery Management Program. Coordinate with sales management, customer reel return requests with production facility and logistics departments.
  • Post Sales Activities: Gathering QA documentation (test reports, certificates of compliance and certificates of origin), submittal of packing slips, tracking information, delivery requirements and proof of deliveries.
  • Commodity administration: Metal Future acquisitions to secure and protect margin expectations in constant communication with Corporate Treasury Department and plant programming
