We are currently looking for a full-time Regional Chef Representative for the Ohio territory. The scope of the Regional Chef Representative position is to independently develop assignments within various territories autonomously through the key job elements listed below. The Chef Representative must meet and/or exceed all set production goals to include high school visits, presentations, inquiries and conversion to successfully penetrate his/her territory and to produce a set number of enrollments within the assigned markets.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Participates in all scheduled chef demo presentations and may be asked to participate in University/College events, camps and college fairs. Maintains autonomy to manage assigned territory and production according to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Training Manual requirements.
- Develops and adheres to a comprehensive marketing plan.
- Develops and maintains rapport with high schools/tech centers in a regional territory by visiting with various departments.
- Individually contacts, schedules, and conducts all presentations; may be asked to cover other territories as needed.
- Updates and manages the CRM program on a daily basis, maintains a personal marketing plan, schedules class bookings, presentations and senior inquiry production for the record.
- Conducts chef demo presentations according to procedures using a presentation shell.
- Collects and develops quality workable inquiries with a focus on senior-level leads and junior lead goals during the assigned months.
- Identifies students in classes where they make presentations that may have a strong interest in SUS programs. This is done through the qualifying sales process.
- Communicates all “hot” leads (those prospects who, based on the Representative’s discretion and judgment, are candidates for admission) to the assigned Admissions Officer providing the prospective student’s contact information and any additional pertinent data.
- Assists the Admissions Officer in following up with students who the High School Representative may have a relationship with to drive conversion.
- Keeps current knowledge of presentation information, statistics, and industry/program data; refreshes memory through periodic studying of provided Product Knowledge Guide and other independent research.
- Assists Admissions Officers and other departments with matriculation of students through communication and follow up.
- Meets/Exceeds all monthly and annual High School production goals as set by SUS Director of High School Programs.
- Conducts all activities in accordance with highest ethical standards as this position is such that the High School Chef Representative is entrusted to run their territory without supervision with honesty and integrity.
- Follows all set department and university policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements of the position include:
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in culinary arts.
- One to three years related experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
- Proficient knowledge of academic programs offered by the school.
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends and to travel as throughout assigned territory and to SUS campuses.
- Ability to function efficiently and utilize good time management skills in a fast paced and demanding work environment.
- Ability to effectively utilize a computerized lead tracking and data management system, as well as proficient knowledge of Microsoft office products.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to hear and speak well enough to communicate with students, visitors, faculty, and staff face to face and via the telephone.
- Ability to maneuver about the facilities of high schools within assigned territory.
