GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The main sales and distribution hub for this position is Atlanta, GA, however it may be required at times to travel to customer sites anywhere within Athens Paper southeast regional footprint. The Regional Service Coordinator is responsible for wide-format and packaging equipment installation, service, and training, and is expected to play a key role in maintaining and expanding business relationships as well as promoting customer satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct onsite installation and training on wide format and packaging equipment we sell.
  • Provide training to customers to ensure they are able to successfully operate their equipment.
  • When needed, provide instruction on color management and workflow techniques, as well as any other billable educational processes depending on the type of equipment involved.
  • Perform billable maintenance and simple repairs on machines that do not void the customer’s warranty.
  • Maintain and operate Athens Atlanta demo room.
  • Train Athens sales team on technical issues when needed and make joint sales calls or site inspections that will build trust and place us in a preferred position with our customers as well as the manufacturers we represent.
  • Promote sales of new or additional products by providing proactive service and maintenance advice.
  • Answer customers’ questions and generate solutions with accurate information by using system tools and resources provided by the equipment manufacturers we represent.
  • Attend sales meetings and available training sessions to learn features and functionality of equipment we sell.
  • Participate in trade show events when needed.
  • Complete other tasks as directed by supervisor or Athens leadership team.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

  • High School Diploma; College Degree Preferred or minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant field
  • Experience installing, servicing, and training on wide format printers and/or packaging equipment
  • Technically proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and one or more Printer RIP Software packages such as Onyx or Caldera
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills i.e. ablity to teach others
  • Ability to travel and provide services within the southeast region, primarily Georgia and Alabama.
  • Commitment to high ethical standards in a diverse workplace

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position may require heavy lifting at times and require setups in a variety of environments. Short travel to and from customer or business sites is required on a regular basis.
