Summary: The Vice President of Operations will be a senior strategic leader within the Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions LLC executive team to create best-in-class operations and an award-winning and growing portfolio. He or she will be responsible for leading a team across all operations of the hotel business and will be responsible for complete management of the hotel portfolio across all facets of hotel operations. Ability to travel across 21 states and manage in branded products such as Hilton, Marriott, Starwood and IHG

Compensation Range: $125K - $165K per year in this Position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, direct and support on-property leadership teams to drive day-to-day operations to optimize revenue and improve property flow through, gain market share performance, operational excellence and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Support the development of the annual strategic plan, objectives and budget for each property and improve EBITDA at assigned properties
  • Work across business verticals and collaborate with team members to continue to be best in class
  • Drive the growth and efficiency of the Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions LLC portfolio as the sky is the limit to our success.
  • Develop training programs to continue Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions LLC leading position with Quality Assurance and GSS scores.
  • Maximize the latest technology to gage the hotel performances to analyze results and implements improvement where appropriate.
  • Provide oversight and support to the management teams to ensure operational excellence in an efficient and an effective manner in our owned/operator hotels.
  • Encourage employees to establish Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions service-oriented and growth culture and guest satisfaction while overseeing the daily operations of all hotels.
  • Select Inspire and entertain.
  • Ensure adherence to operating policy, standards of operation, quality of service, maintenance and physical condition and appearance of each hotel and any other matters affecting operations and standards.
  • Analyze data and industry trends to work with hotel teams to create improved offerings, processes, and procedures to generate higher performance and guest satisfaction
  • Coordinate with Regional Director of Revenue leaders to oversee the execution of all revenue optimizing revenue management and sales programs.
  • Participate in interdependent senior staff meetings at the corporate office. Share and collaborate with business partners colleagues on the performance of assigned properties, the property leaders, and noteworthy issues in the assigned areas of responsibility
  • Will be the liaison to each brand (Hilton, Marriott, Starwood and IHG) and develop KPI's to exceed each hotel is meeting brand standards of operations, customer service, revenue, and growth of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-10 Years Multi-Property leadership experience within branded hotels with Hilton, Marriott, Starwood and IHG brand experience (multi-brand experience is preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
  • P&L Management experience is required.
  • Ability to recruit and mentor talent.
  • Direct experience managing teams in multiple locations.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong, demonstrable business and technical writing skills, including ability to draft or contribute to reports, investment memoranda, presentations, etc.
  • Thorough, well-rounded knowledge of lodging industry, including trends, such as evolution of brands.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, evidenced by successfully building, motivating, and managing high performance teams and by effectively working as a partner with other executives and stakeholders with strong, demonstrable oral communication skills, including the ability to present to internal and external audiences on technical aspects.
  • Reputation as a team player with a strong work ethic, integrity, candor, and willingness to accept responsibility and accountability for driving issues to resolutions.
  • Strong computer literacy skills using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and all respective brands software's.
