Seeking a licensed registered nurse to work in a psychiatric rehab setting. Excellent opportunity for RN looking for dynamic position outside of hospital setting with daytime hours and no weekends. The program provides individuals with severe and persistent mental health conditions a full range of comprehensive, recovery-oriented services, with the purpose of assisting them in overcoming barriers caused by their mental health condition, developmental disability or substance use disorder.

This role serves as a member of the clinical treatment team providing health assessments, assistance with medication management and education, clinical counseling/symptom monitoring, relapse prevention, crisis intervention and skills training related to integration of behavioral and physical health.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Operations

• Participate as member of the clinical team under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services
• Participate in the development of Personalized Recovery Plans
• Coordinate with the other members of the clinical treatment team including Psychiatrist, Nurse Practitioner, Social Worker/Mental Health Counselors and professional staff
• Coordinate and organize clinical treatment schedule as needed
• Work closely with the program psychiatrist under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services

· Facilitate classes on wellness self-management, health maintenance and basic living skills

• Provide first aid and nursing care to program participants; make referrals for treatment, as appropriate
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation on all individuals in accordance with agency regulations
• Serve as a member of the agency Health and Safety Committee

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

· Registered Nurse (RN) Licensed in NYS

Experience:

· One year experience (mental health experience preferred)

· Valid NYS driver’s license, must maintain a driving record that meets the insurable criteria of the Agency’s automobile insurance carrier

· Must have a favorable result from the federal/state exclusions background check as well as a background check facilitated through fingerprinting and mandated by NYS law Chapter 575.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $71,000.00 per year
